Purpose and Reason:

This regulation is promulgated pursuant to R.I. Gen. Law's Section 5-20.7-1 et seq., and R.I. Gen. Law's Section 42-35-3. The following rules, regulations, and standards shall be utilized by the Rhode Island Real Estate Appraisers Board and the Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation for the licensing, certification, and recertification of Real Estate Appraisers in the State of Rhode Island.
