Purpose and Reason:
The purpose of this Regulation is to prescribe: A. Requirements for statements of actuarial opinion which are to be submitted in accordance with R.I. Gen. Laws § 27-4.5-3, and for memoranda in support thereof; B. Rules applicable to the appointment of an appointed actuary; and C. Guidance as to the meaning of “adequacy of reserves”.
