Purpose and Reason:
Effective October 1, 2008, Extended Family Planning Services may still be provided for up to 24 months, but a re-certification is now required after 12 months, to determine if participants remain eligible for the program. Two medical procedures are no longer provided under the Extended Family Program: - Colposcopy, and cryosurgery or other cauterization of the cervix; - Immunizations. No substantive changes were made since date of notice.
