Purpose and Reason:

In accordance with R.I.G.L. 40-8.4-4 and 40-8.4-12 as amended by 2002 P.L., Ch.65, Art.32, effective August 1, 2002 to revise the rules related to cost sharing requirements for certain eligible families and individuals to reflect an increase in the monthly premium share for Medical Assistance coverage to no more than five percent (5%) of countable income.
