Purpose and Reason:
Effective November 1, 2013, increased benefits to recipients in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provided by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) will expire. As a result, SNAP households will see a decrease in their SNAP benefit amounts. In addition, the minimum monthly benefit for SNAP households will decrease from $16 to $15.
