Effective April 1, 2009, as a result of the American Recovery and Investment Act, SNAP household’s maximum benefit allotment will increase by 13.6 percent of the June 2008 Thrifty Food Plan. The emergency adoption of the rules is required to ensure that all SNAP households receive this increase in benefits in a timely manner.
