Purpose and Reason:
To clarify Able Bodied Adults Without Dependents (ABAWDs) policy: the only pro-rated month that is not counted toward the three-month time limit for ABAWD’s is the initial application month; those living in a household with a member under the age of 18 are exempt from the ABAWD time-limit; an individual shall only be able to regain benefits one time within a three-year period if he or she works and then loses his or her employment; and to define “work” as it relates to the ABAWD policy.
