Purpose and Reason:

To change policy relating to case redeterminations and reporting requirements: 1) to align FIP redetermination periods and Food Stamp recertification periods for families that are dually eligible for FIP and Food Stamp benefits, by changing FIP recertification periods from twelve (12) to six (6) months; 2) to align the FIP income change reporting requirement to agree with Food Stamp rules by creating separate reporting thresholds for earned and unearned income. The new thresholds are $50 per month for unearned income and $100 per month for earned income; and 3) to amend the change reporting requirements of adults to report the temporary absence of a minor child within five (5) days. This filing supercedes ERLid# 3139.
