Purpose and Reason:

This amended rule revises the resource limits for the Qualified Medicare Beneficiaries (QMB), Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiaries (SLMB), and Qualifying Individuals (QI) Programs. The resource limits for QMB, SLMB, and QI Programs have been increased to $7,080 for a single person and $10,620 for a married person living with a spouse and no other dependents. In addition, the Medicare Part B Premium amount has been increased from $99.90 to $104.90.
