Purpose and Reason:

In accordance with Rhode Island General Laws (RIGL) Chapter 42-35, EOHHS amends this rule in order to reflect the cost-of-living increase (COLA) to the federal Social Security Administration benefit rates. The State is adopting these amended rules to set forth these provisions in a timely manner in order to prevent wrongful denial, discontinuance, or interruption of benefits for Medicaid applicants and beneficiaries.
