Purpose and Reason:
Effective January 1, 2008, applicants and recipients of the Family Independence Program (FIP) will not be automatically categorically eligible for Medical Assistance benefits. Eligibility for Medical Assistance benefits for FIP applicants and recipients must be determined in accordance with all of the requirements of the Medical Assistance Program.
