RIGL 40-8:Title XIX of the Social Security Act
Purpose and Reason:
Eff 1/1/2007, to obtain Title XIX Med Asst benefits, citizenship, alienage, & sponsor deeming requirements must comport with the Personal Responsibility & Work Opportunity Act (1996),the Balanced Budget Act (1997),the Non-Citizen & Tech Clarification Act (1998), &the Vicitims of Trafficking & Violence Act (2000). To receive RIte Care, non-citizen children must have received Med Asst benefits from the State of RI on or before 12/31/2006.
