Purpose and Reason:

Effective January 1, 2008 the Food Stamp Program will implmenent a mini-Simplified Food Stamp Program which will allow the Dept of Human Services to add the Food Stamp allotment to the Family Independence Program (FIP) grant to calculate the maximum number of hours a FIP parent can participate in the unpaid work experience or community service.
