Purpose and Reason:

To revise the rules of the Rhode Island Veterans Home to amend: 1)the service dates for Vietnam-era Veterans with regard to admission to the Home; 2) the monetary amount that can be released for burial for a decesaed resident with assets, from $4,000 to $3,000; 3)Information regarding compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)and 4) to make technical clarifications to certain provisions.
