Purpose and Reason:
Effective March 1, 2008 custodial parents in receipt of child support payments must choose to receive these payments through either direct deposit into their checking or savings account, or via a stored value card which will electronically transfer the funds to an ATM card. Child support payments will no longer be distributed through the method of mailing paper checks.
