Purpose and Reason:

Effective March 1, 2008 custodial parents in receipt of child support payments must choose to receive these payments through either direct deposit into their checking or savings account, or via a stored value card which will electronically transfer the funds to an ATM card. Child support payments will no longer to distributed through the method of mailing paper checks.

To ensure timely and accurate delivery of child support payments to clients.
