Purpose and Reason:
Effective January 1, 2012, the rules are amended to reflect the Social Security Administration's cost of living adjustment (COLA) in the SSI payment level. In addition, the rule includes a technical amendment removing the example from the State-Only Supplemental Calculation section. Changes to the rule are a effective January 1, 2012 and are being filed under emergency rule making to ensure compliance with the federal law.
Brief statement of Reason for Finding Imminent Peril:
The emergency amendment of the SSI-SSP rules is necessary to reflect the 2012 SSI COLA changes.
