Regulation Authority:
R.I. Gen. Laws § 21-31-20.
Purpose and Reason:
The RIDOH is repealing the Rules and Regulations Pertaining to Drug Product Selection (R21-31-DPS) as a direct final rulemaking as they have been determined to be both outdated and unnecessary under RIDOH’s current regulatory framework. In the development of this rule, consideration was given to: 1) alternative approaches; 2) overlap or duplication with other statutory and regulatory provisions; and 3) significant economic impact on small business. No alternative approach, duplication, or overlap was identified based on available information. Based on RIDOH’s current regulatory framework, it was determined that the repeal of this rule is the most appropriate course of action.
