Purpose and Reason:

Update the minimum standards for licensed assisted living residences in Rhode Island; for the care of residents in an assisted living residence; and for the maintenance and operation of assisted living residences in Rhode Island. These specific amendments establish requirements for providing limited health services and address other statutory mandates established pursuant to the following Public Laws (PL): 2014-064; 2014-060; 2013-379; 2013-294; 2010-183; 2010-178; 2009-290 and 2009-189. Public comment noted that definition of "resident" in regulation differed from definition is statute. The corrected definition is now included with these Regulations
