216-RICR-40-10-24 INACTIVE RULE
Title | 216 | Rhode Island Department of Health |
Chapter | 40 | Professional Licensing and Facility Regulation |
Subchapter | 10 | Facilities Regulation |
Part | 24 | Rules and Regulations for the Registration of Tanning Facilities [R23-68-TAN] |
Type of Filing | Amendment |
Regulation Status | Inactive |
Effective | 08/12/2014 to 08/27/2018 |
Regulation Authority:
RIGL Chapter 23-68
Purpose and Reason:
These regulations are established for the purpose of adopting minimum standards for the registration and operation of tanning facilities in Rhode Island. These specific amendments implement recent changes to Chapter 23-68 of the General Laws of Rhode Island, as amended, 21 CFR Part 1040.20, and also address several needed “housekeeping” revisions. One additional edit was made after the Public Hearing to incorporate a new Federal (FDA) requirement that was not issued until after the hearing date. Because it is a Federal requirement, tanning facilities would be required to comply even if it were not specifically included in the regulation.
