Purpose and Reason:

For the purpose of adopting requirements pertaining to the composition of the Advisory Council on Midwifery and prescription privileges for certified nurse-midwives, consistent with statutory provisions and for the purpose of adopting minimum standards for the practice of midwifery in Rhode Island
