Purpose and Reason:
This new rule, in compliance with RIGL 42-72-5 (b) (10), as well as the federal court order relating to RI Training School residents and the accreditation standards of the American Correctional Association (ACA) and the Correctional Education Association (CEA) for Juvenile Training Schools and Juvenile Detention Facilities, provides administrative direction to DCYF employees in meeting statutory and accreditation requirements for training per calendar year. The final rule does not contain any changes to the proposed rule except editing changes.
