Purpose and Reason:
In accordance with federal law, this amended rule allows for the extension of kinship guardianship assistance up to age 21 if the child has a severe, pre-existing physical, mental or emotional disability or physical condition which is unlikely to change, and provides clarification relating to modification and termination of kinship guardianship assistance. The final rule does not contain any changes to the proposed rule except editing changes.
