Purpose and Reason:

This rule is being amended in compliance with the federal court order relating to RI Training School residents, the accreditation standards of the American Correctional Association (ACA) for Juvenile Training Schools and Juvenile Detention Facilities and the opening of new facilities for detained and adjudicated residents. Sections are being removed because they are obsolete as a result of the new physical plant, do not comply with current ACA standards and/or do not accurately reflect the federal consent order. The final rule does not include any changes from the proposed rule other than editing changes.
