Purpose and Reason:

This technical amendment corrects a mistake made in the final rule. In the rule as advertisd and intended, the correct designation, "Licensed Practical Nurse," was utilized. In the final rule the words were incorrectly transposed and read instead "Licensed Nurse Practitioner" which creates a substantial additional burden. In addition, the filing form for the Final Rule did not identify this substantive change, which, had it been intended, would have been required under APA. The Technical Amendment corrects this mistake.
