Purpose and Reason:

Revised policy has been amended to clarify procedures, relating to locating subjects of a report and involving law enforcement and legal counsel, which must be followed during an investigation. The previous version of this policy (ERLID#1177), refiled 1/2/02, is being repealed and replaced with this amended version.
