Purpose and Reason:
The Department has developed a centralized intake and information system to effectively and efficiently control and monitor the flow of child abuse and neglect (CA/N) reports. The Call Floor is comprised of highly trained staff hired to receive and process reports through a 24-hour per day hotline. All reports received by the Call Floor are maintained in a computerized inquiry and tracking system which can provide an instantaneous statewide monitoring process for these reports
