Purpose and Reason:
The Department, in complying with Section 402 of the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Act of 1974,is required to take affirmative action to employ and advance disabled veterans and veterans of the Vietnam Era at all job levels. This action will involve all personnel activities, including hiring, promotion, conditions of employment, recruitment advertising, layoff, or termination, rates of pay or other forms of compensation, selection for training and benefits.
