Purpose and Reason:
Provides for criminal checks for persons employed by, licensed/certified/approved or otherwise involved with DCYF, subject to statewide and/or nationwide criminal checks. Amends, incorporates and supersedes DCYF rules, Criminal Records Checks - Facility Operators/Facility Employees (ERLID# 1219,refiled 1/2/02), Criminal Records Checks – Employees of the Training School (ERLID# 1158, refiled 1/2/02) and section (1200.0232 Criminal Records Checks - Employees of the Training School and Juvenile Diagnostic Center) of the RI Training School Manual. Amends the listing of criminal disqualifying information for individuals subject to these checks. This listing amends and supersedes the listing of criminal disqualifiers in DCYF regulations relating to Foster Care(1998), Family Day Care Homes(1990), Family Group Day Care Homes(1988), Child Placing Agencies(1987), Child Care(1987), Child Day Care Center, School Age Child Day Care Program(1993), Child Day Care Center(1993) and Licensing of Foster Care Homes Policy.
