Purpose and Reason:
The Rhode Island Medicaid State Plan provides for community mental health services for children who are eligible for Medical Assistance (MA) and enrolled in the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) program. Approved providers that comply with federal and state regulations regarding payment and treatment planning and documentation provide clinical community diagnostic and treatment services for eligible clients with mental or emotional disorders.
