Purpose and Reason:
These regulations have been promulgated on an emergency basis as their promulgation is necessary to protect the imminent public health, safety and welfare of individuals receiving services through the Department. These Regulations provide the Department with additional resources to protect the health and safety of the persons whom we serve. Authority for these rules, regulations and standards is found in Rhode Island General Laws section 40.1-24-1 et seq., and Rhode Island General Laws section 40.1-1-13(11) et seq.
