Regulation Authority:

Rhode Island General Laws sections 40.1-24.1 et seq., 40.1-24.5-1 et seq., 40.1-8.5-1 et seq., 40.1-1-13(11) et seq., and 40.1-5-1 et seq.

Purpose and Reason:

These Regulations provide the Department with additional modalities, services and resources to provide treatment to the citizens of Rhode Island for whom the Department is statutorily responsible for providing behavioral health services.

Brief statement of Reason for Finding Imminent Peril:

These Regulations have been promulgated on an emergency basis as their promulgation is necessary to protect the imminent public health, safety and welfare of individuals receiving services through the Department. These Regulations provide the Department with additional modalities, services and resources to provide treatment to the citizens of Rhode Island for whom the Department is statutorily responsible for providing behavioral health services. Authority for these rules, regulations and standards is found in Rhode Island General Laws section 40.1-24-1 et seq., and Rhode Island General Laws section 40.1-1-13(11) et seq.
