Purpose and Reason:

Effective April 1, 2012, the average monthly cost of private payment in a nursing facility is adjusted based on the update to the Medical Assistance poverty level income standards and maintenance needs allowance in accordance with the 2012 Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Brief statement of Reason for Finding Imminent Peril:

To prevent beneficiaries from being wrongly deprived of benefits needed for their support.
