Purpose and Reason:
Medical Assistance policy is revised to implement statutory increases in the basic allowances for a community spouse and other dependents of aninstitutionalized individual. These basic allowances are used in the post−eligibility treatment of income process to calculate the allocation of income from an institutionalized individual to community dependents.
