Purpose and Reason:
Revisions to federal IDEA regulations which must be incorporated into state special education regulations. These include parental consent and prior written notice requirements concerning the revocation of special education and related services, representation by non-attorneys at due process hearings, and state monitoring of local education agencies; Reconciliation of 2008 amendment of RIGL 16-24-1 with IDEA and state specaiol education regulations; Correction of inadvertent errors and omissions in the state special education regulations adopted in 2007.
