Regulation Authority:

R.I.G.L. 16-11-1 and 16-60-4

Purpose and Reason:

Rhode Island General Law § 16-11-1 requires that educators in Rhode Island Public Schools attain certification. Pursuant to Rhode Island General Law § 16-60-4, the responsibility for setting Regulations for certification rests with the Council on Elementary and Secondary Education.
