Purpose and Reason:

The purpose of this adoption is to comply with R.I.G.L. 16-7-24 and to align and comply with current standards and regulations. These regulations update expectations for student achievement and development, reduce redundancy, ensure comparability and clarity across systems, provide local flexibility, and move from measurement of inputs to measurement of outcomes.
