Purpose and Reason:
The pupose of this rule is to fulfill the statutory requirements of Rhode Island General Laws 28-30-22(b)(1) to "adopt and review protocols and standards of treatment for compensable injury". The purpose of this amendment is to revise the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome protocol, and to eliminate the Intravenous Robaxin in the Management of Lower Extremety Pain protocol. There is no substantive difference between the amended rule as proposed and the amended rule as adopted.
