Purpose and Reason:
The Judicial Personnel Rules and Regulations are made in compliance with R.I.G.L. 8-15-4(d), whose purpose is to affirm the right of the Judiciary to be independent of and not subject to personnel control exercised by the executive branch of government in matters relating to the operation of the unified court system. These Rules and Regulations take into consideration and conform to, where practicable, existing policies governing personnel practices within the executive branch of government.
