The Board of Examination and Registration of Architects (“Board”) is established and governed by Chapters 5-1 and 5-84 of the Rhode Island General Laws and is part of the Department of Business Regulation. The Board’s mission is to protect the public health, safety and welfare by licensing architects and architecture firms and investigating complaints that allege violations of statutory and regulatory provisions under the Board’s jurisdiction. The Board periodically reviews its regulations, applications, and processes for updating and streamlining.
