Purpose and Reason :
Pursuant to the statutory requirement contained within RIGL 4-19-13, these proposed regulations provide minimal animal care and housing standards at licensed animal care facilities to ensure that the animals are kept in a manner that is safe and sanitary for their well-being, and in a manner that will mitigate any disease risk to the other animals and humans residing in the state. Minor changes made per comment to requirements for record retention for facility cleaning.
