Purpose and Reason :

Under the authority of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and in an effort to promote economic recovery, individuals with countable family income from 133% to 150% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) will no longer be required to pay a monthly premium in order to maintain eligibility for the RIte Care/RIte Share Program. In addition, the monthly cost share premium will be decreased for individuals with countable family income from 150% to 250% of the Federal Poverty Level.
