Purpose and Reason :
Proposed rule making to the Long Term Ombudsperson Program is being initiated to comply with the statutory mandate of Rhode Island General Law Chapter 42-66.7 the states Long Term Ombudsperson Act of 1995. The program of the Long-Term Care Ombudsperson to be administratively attached to the Department of Human Services, Division of Elderly Affairs in accordance with its mandate under § 42-66-4 and the Older Americans Act, 42 U.S.C. § 3001 et seq.
